SuperBoxes is a powerful add-on tool-kit for Superbase
developers featuring state-of-the-art interface design components. Included, is a library of over 250 functions
that let developers create sophisticated user-interfaces incorporating windows, dialogs, custom controls and even
VBX's.
SuperBoxes-X v4.0 provides seamless integration with Superbase v3.2 and offers a host of new features including:
A powerful new data-aware outline control; Complete ANSI support that makes integration with international character
sets a snap; And, a powerful new SuperBoxes RAD Designer that lets developers create user-interfaces with drag-and-drop
simplicity.

SuperBoxes-X v4.0 also includes dozens of new commands, support for
the Windows95/NT40 look and feel, and significant performance increases.
Standard Features

VBX Support - SuperBoxes-X hosts VBX custom controls seamlessly. VBX
events map directly into SuperBoxes callback routines, so your Superbase code is called the instant an event occurs!
SuperBoxes-X also includes a VBX Object inspector written entirely in SuperBoxes with complete source code included.
This powerful utility automatically generates SBL code for setting properties and responding to events!
Dynamic dialogs - SuperBoxes-X dialogs replace standard Superbase dialogs and offer increased control and functionality.
Dialogs may be modal or modeless and applications may continue to process even while a dialog is displayed on screen.
A complete range of controls, including custom controls, may be added and manipulated.
Multiple windows - Multiple windows (each with individual menu bars and menu items), offer users a lateral approach
to managing database information. Floating toolbars and multiple views of data can make applications easier to
manage and navigate. SuperBoxes-X controls may be added to either Superbase MDI windows or SuperBoxes child windows.
SuperBoxes-X windows offer a complete range of styles.
Standard windows controls - SuperBoxes-X supports: Buttons, list boxes, combo boxes, edit boxes, scroll bars, statics,
child windows, and others. These help to create a more consistent look and feel with existing Windows applications.
SuperBoxes-X supports all standard control styles and event-notifications as well as actions such as double-clicking
and drag and drop.
Custom controls - SuperBoxes-X includes: Picture buttons, picture windows, tab-indexes, gauges, tables, spin buttons,
owner-draw list boxes, pop-up balloon help, and calendars. These controls enhance the look and feel of your appliction.
Also SuperBoxes 3.0 introduces data- aware controls that allow tables, list boxes, combo boxes, edit boxes, statics,
and buttons to accept industry standard SQL commands to manage their contents. These data-aware controls provide
staggering performance improvements while minimizing code.
SBL Code Generation - SuperBoxes-X introduces new commands to open/close read/write SBL code from within your Superbase
application.
BoxScript - SuperBoxes-X provides a graphical scripting language called BoxScript. Using BoxScript, you can display
dynamic forms, charts, and images in both windows and dialogs. BoxScript also allows you to customize your own
buttons, list boxes, and combo boxes, or develop entirely new controls. Developers can now create live interactive
charts, animation, calendars, graphical sliders, dials, or virtually any other control imaginable.
